Arrrgggg I don't want to be awake. Corey is the only one in the house who has to work today, but his parents are out running errands and the dog and I are just sitting here watching tv, half asleep.
This weekend has been pretty awesome, even if I did have to work with someone who irritates me to no end on Friday. Saturday morning, my mom and I went to my favorite coffee house Common Grounds (better known in my blogs for their amazing cupcakes), where we split a Maple Bacon cupcake and a Boston Cream cupcake and caught up over our peppermint chai lattes. +NOM+ We wandered around the area and shops nearby, but nothing was really open. We did see a gorgeous viper that my dad says is the pawn shop owner's. I guess pawn shops are good money
and we did see this on the tattoo shop's window
I saw the Enigma a few years ago at the Spokane Tattoo convention (where I met gorgeous ladies like Lyxzen, Skully, Coley and Silencia), but I am very excited to see him again, and at my favorite tattoo shop (I got my cherry blossoms and Combichrist/OM there). So Corey and I will probably be there from the time he gets home from work til the time his appearance is over.
After coffee and wandering, Corey and I went to The Green Hornet (don't bother seeing it in 3-D). It was a fucking great movie, hilarious and definitely full of great action...though I'm confused why Cameron Diaz is still portrayed as the "hot chick" in films...I like tits on my hot girls :
We had dinner after the movie then went to work (fun times eh?)
But Sunday....oh Sunday! We avoided watching the Seahawks game, and instead went out to Pike Place Market. The famous fishing throwing area is blocked off and under construction, the original Starbucks was packed (as always), my favorite herbal shop was its normal sauna temperature and everywhere was just packed, but we wormed our way through, spent over an hour in the best comic book shop ever. I had a small panic attack, running around, staring at all of the Cthulhu related things and buying these two:
and a present for a package to the dear Witchartist, and Corey bought movie snap shots from the Crow, Pulp Fiction and Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.
I really want to do a Cthulhu obsession fueled set, and I have propbably 20 related things on my amazon wishlist and I'll probably end up going back to the comic shop and buy even more things...hell I may break down and start the Cthulhu roleplaying game..we'll see.
We went to Emmet Watson's oyster bar and ordered a bunch of happiness
All of the raw oysters on the half shell are mine...and I love them, and can eat them way too fast. At least Corey got shrimp and chips instead of just chicken and fries.
We also found a couple records that we just couldn't pass up: Monthy Python (for my dad) and a limited edition one by The Exploited, which we will be giving to Mel for her upcoming birthday
You know what's kind of fun about living near Boeing? You see this pretty regularly:
Plane fuselages on a train...kind of awesome.
I want to ask all of my friends to send tons of positive thoughts to Suispud1 for his father's health. And while you're at it, send some to my other father RemoD66 for his friends that have been having a rough few weeks (read his blogs) and for continuing his father's stretch of relatively good health)
The camera fund is still very...empty, the support on zivity is overwhelming and heartwarming
And then I get an email from SG saying another set is denied....fucking love it! Damn that it's too early to start drinking.....At least Corey's mom made my favorite cookies...
I was so happy....but now I'm gonna go sulk.

I'm going to try for the game company. It's an art job, and apparently a lot of people who work there actually have connections in comics. Overall, it's just way better to work for a game company in New York than to continue at a grocery story in Who Gives A Fuck, CT.
