Moving is a whole lot of craziness, but we've accomplished a buttload in the last few days.
Friday was mainly a last minute packing sort of day for Corey and I. We turned in our last stash of recyclables, and sold one of our tvs. Since we had about $100 cash on hand, we decided to brave the Black Friday crowds (that were still out at 6pm) and I decided that was a good time to attempt putting the mohawk up, figuring no one would fuck with us.
Corey also decided to attack me with a sharpie..and it reminded me of a song Hexxus had shown me once, by the band Polkadot Cadaver

Core got a new belt and I got a tshirt and some more stocking stuffers.
Instead of leaving Saturday morning as planned, Corey's parents headed down to us on Saturday night, stopping in Salem, OR. They got to the apartment at about 5:30pm Saturday. We went out to dinner and worked on cleaning and packing a bit.
Sunday we got the uhaul and filled it. Debbie and I did even more cleaning, then yesterday while Corey was at school (and then at the hotel, sleeping off the sudden stomach flu he got), we acked his truck, and my car. I was sent back to the hotel to check in and nurse Corey while his parents rented the rug doctor and cleaned the carpets. Today, we finished the carpets, did the walk through with maintenance and turned in our keys. I can officially wipe my hands of having a residence in the Natomas area, and Sacramento in general.
Astrid's been sniffing around in the hotel room and hanging out in one of the chairs and sometimes on the fridge. We are in an extended stay with a little kitchen and are two rooms down from his parents and their dog.
I'm having kind of a rough time, with all of the stress. Corey and I have been bickering a bit because of it too, but we're okay.
I decided I really wanted a ham ham cuddle and started digging around in the fluff, waiting for him to move and bite my finger like he usually does. After 10 minutes of digging and no movement, I got a little worried. I pulled off top part of the cage, pulled open the fluff where Moliere usually sleeps, stepped away from the cage and just started sobbing. My poor ham ham was on his back in the fluff, dead. I'm fucking torn apart. I loved that little russian dwarf that I spoke french too.

I will miss him terribly.
And there go the tears again...I need a piece of fucking cake.

Great band... Obviously I knew that, but you already knew that too. Todd Smith also did Dog Fashion Disco (another tripped out band) beforehand and yeah well... good lead singer... I miss my mowhawkz, tri-hawkz, and liberty spikez. Damn you government employment and keeping me nailed down.
