First of all I want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who sent me messages and comments for my birthday! I'm somewhat overwhelmed. And thank you to the amazing people who sent me presents.

The weekend was as spectacular as I had hoped, and I'm honestly jealous of the weekend Corey had spent for his birthday. I guess it's mostly because I haven't made the contacts that he has and really only have him to cling to and do things with.

I decided to do a couple of things for myself, especially since I put in my 2 weeks notice at Bath & Body Works on Friday. I bought some bleach and hair dye to touch up my roots, and I got my hair cut. It's a lot shorter than I've had in close to a decade, but it's cute, and it'll be a hell of a lot easier to spike up (when I find the motivation to)

Friday evening, Corey came home from school early, sick and miserable. After a couple hours rest, he was ready to go out shopping with me, searching for that special something for myself, upon my mother's request and funding. My mom also sent me a picture of myself in 1997, holding my then newborn cousin. She turned 13 this year, I left my teens. Fucking weird.

Corey decided to take a picture of me before our mall outing

The search didn't go so well, and Corey was just miserable.

Saturday,we went out to other shops, continuing the search. The one thing I asked of Corey, for my birthday, was for him to try a cup of coffee. He agreed, and luckily he was absolutely exhausted Saturday morning. So I bought him vanilla bean coffee, and french vanilla creamer. I brewed up a nice big pot and we made up our cups. His was mostly creamer and sugar, but it was a step, and his next cup had a little more coffee than the first cu. He called his mother and made this long lead up to telling her and it was dramatic and probably made her think the worst, but in the end, she was ECSTATIC that he had finally had coffee (his whole family, except his grandma, drinks coffee). She said he was finally allowed back into Washington and she thanked me up and down for it! And he agreed it was a lot better for him than all of those energy drinks.

We ended up going to Old Sac Saturday. I was continuing the search for something special. I ended up spending most of my money on Christmas presents, and a belt buckle that Corey has wanted for months, but I did get myself a nice pair of green stone plugs (that happen to be a gauge bigger than my usual pair and I have packed away my gauging kit...fuck) and:
Nightmare Before Christmas Yahtzee (Corey and I promptly played a game)

and a mask

I got a lovely package from Hexxus which had these awesome shoes in it

I was having trouble falling asleep Saturday night (/Sunday morning). I was awake to recognize that my mother sent me a text and my father called and left me a voice message of him singing Happy Birthday, at 1:18 am (yes, the actual time of my birth. My mother likes to remind me of that, and the fact that she was in labor for 11 hours before they finally did a C section, and this was after me being 2 weeks late). Sunday morning, Corey made me cocoa and we put on cartoons until we were both hungry enough to make bacon and egg breakfast burritos. He also took it upon himself to write on my knuckles

We spent most of the actual day trying to think of something to do. Since it was Sunday, most of the attractions in the area were closing down early. We finally decided to get dressed up and go to the downtown mall, which happens to be an open air mall.

We wandered around the mall, got bored (it's a pretty empty mall) and finally headed back to the truck. On the escalator into the parking garage, these two young girls going the opposite direction, stopped all conversation they were having to stare slack jawed at me. When they got to the top and I had turned part way back around, I heard them shriek, (while still looking at me) "EW EW EW!" So what did I do? I flipped them off. I really would have loved if the parents had said something about me giving their ten year old daughters the finger.

When we got back to the truck, Corey realized he had locked his keys in the truck, in the ignition. Fucking awesome. So we dealt with the automated bullshit, dealt with the idiotic woman we were connected to, hung up on said idiotic woman, she called back after figuring everything out, then we stood in the cold waiting for the locksmith. Once that was done with, we decided to give up on the other plans we had, and just go to dinner.

Corey and I had a nice big dinner at Red Lobster, but he was still sick and miserable, and our waiter kept staring at my chest.

I ended up with a bad stomach bug today and had to take our roommates to the greyhound station. It's quite and lonely here without them and I definitely teared up as I hugged them goodbye.

Just a week left in the apartment. There still a good amount to pack and clean, but I'll get back to it tomorrow (after I make sure this stomach bug is under control). The stress probably is not helping my health.

Have a good week everyone! And I'll be back with Thanksgiving pictures
love

Agh sorry for missing your birthday. It was one of those things you remind yourself to not forget (if that makes sense, which I hope it doesn't!), and then you do. So yes it was doomed from the start!
