love Time for another Seattle (and Greater Seattle area) update!

Let's see...what the hell have I been up to?

Tuesday, my father and I went to Pioneer square, but parked probably over a mile away, down past the stadiums. We stopped at Starbuck's on our way into Pioneer square and wandered in and out of galleries and shops. We rediscovered a wonderful soda company, called

Dry Soda

They had added new flavors since our last tasting, so we sat down and tasted all of the flavors. These are sodas developed to pair with food like wine does. I can't pick a favorite, but I bought a Rhubarb and a Cucumber and let Corey's sister pick one when she stopped by the other day (she took the Cucumber).

Whenever I go to Pioneer Square, I pay my respects to a certain plaque that is next to a certain tree

(sorry the shadowing is so awful)
This is a memorial to my dear friend Mel's (see my thigh and my first 2 sets) big brother Kris. If you care to know the story, ask.
Dad and I went into Utilikilts and looked around. I know they're for guys but my dad says he thinks it'd be a great concert outfit for me (and I think that's what my christmas present is going to be from him).

He and I are sweet freaks, so we stopped in one of our favorite chocolate shops

He got a chocolate dipped Nutter Butter and I got a chocolate covered espresso marshmallow

Then walking back we had to stop for Krispy Kremes. Good thing I'm doing all this damn walking!

Wednesday my father made his delicious garlic mashed potatoes and stuffed pork roast. I am trying to buddy up with my parents' dog Kumara, but he still does what we call "badger face" at me. I can never get a picture of it, but I'm trying. I think between walking him and giving him belly rubs he may be warming up to me

And I've been loving it up with the Blob Cat!

I've been getting work in with my father's company too, earning a good chunk of money to buy Corey a present (definitely just bought us Combichrist tickets for our anniversary) and to save up to help us move out of his parents' house when we are ready

I've been seeing tons of friends, but also getting some good quality time in with my father, who I feared I was slipping away from since the move. He talks to me like I'm adult divulging some more adult facts here and there. We went through the awesome little shops in Downtown Renton yesterday, in search of that perfect birthday present and stopping in to my favorite metaphysical shop to give big hugs to Genie (the owner of the shop and wife of my favorite shaman). I love the little artsy shops around there! And of course, my favorite favorite coffee shop, Common Grounds (which I had the pleasure of introducing to BAPB). My father and I continued our sweeth tooth indulgence with blended coffees and cupcakes. He had a chocolate orange one and I had a maple bacon cupcake where the bacon was actually mixed into the batter.

NOM!

I'm trying hard not to spend money on myself, but I really think I need something. Maybe something at Metro in Capitol Hill will scream at me enough.

Last night I had the pleasure of joining my dear friend Mel at the Green River Community college radio station KGRG

She is the DJ known as Mello Kitten (Or Mello Kitty).

I got to meet King Bear and the host of LATE NIGHT DEATH, Killing Spree. Great guys! Sadly the program they use went down and we were running off of cds, so I was scrambling around the shelves pulling down cds.

here I am..trying to look adorable and nonchalant

There's Killing Spree, trying to help Mel reboot the program, hoping it'll work before his show (in which he played the new Dimmu Borgir album in its entirity!)

My dear friend Cheyenne came for the last half hour of the show to sit in with us and this picture was a result

When I got back to the house, I let the dog out hoping she'd let me sleep in, and we were greeted at the back door by this little guy

It's been beautifully rainy here, but I have yet to run out in it nekked. I don't think Corey's neighbors would take too kindly to that since we are technically part of a country club.surreal Maybe once I've caught up on sleep and don't fear getting a cold, I'll run out there. And I broke down and drove his father's silverado today. I feel POWERFUL in that truck love It has such smooth handling....I can't wait til the El Camino is back up and running!

While Corey's been going crazy for his birthday weekend (his birthday and our 2 year anniversary are monday), I've been kind of...meh. I'm a bit depressed and it might definitely be the lack of sleep. I went with my mother to see my grandma and my cousins. HOLY SHIT! My 13 year old cousin is 5'11....WTF!?! I'm 7 years older and 4 inches shorter. Her parents are both really tall though. She got height and athleticism...I got the tits of the family...thank you Grandma! Tomorrow I'm going with Corey's sister to have dinner at their grandparents' house. I like not having to cook!

I think I'm going to go pour myself a glass of Jack and slip into a bubble bath.

Hope everyone is having a fulfulling weekend!
