I'm breaking down and blogging again
I still haven't gotten the tattoo, but at least I have pictures from this weekend. I got a lot of "more of you" comments on my last blog, and I have to apologize, because no one has really put me in front of the camera lately and I feel retarded taking tons of pictures of myself.
I think I fucking deserve that tattoo now. Ben's been kind of putting me off and that was fine while Corey's parents were in town....but after yesterday, he owes me BIG.
But let's start with Friday.
I woke up way earlier than usualy and spent the day pacing, making things as clean as I could, being anxious, and his parents didn't even get here until about 4pm. I had baked the Tinkerbell cake the night before and frosted it at about noon. Here's the cake process, and it's disappearance:
Cake still in the pan. Had to cut a lump off it so that it would sit flat. It's just your basic yellow cake mix
There she is all frosted. Her lips were kind of bitch to do, and kind of suck massive amounts of ass.
I decided she needed redder lips
We took her to Corey's mom's childhood friend's house when we went for dinner. Corey couldn't go because of work. We ate all her hair on Saturday night.
I told Ben and Jenny to eat some cake..they ate her eyes out.
We basically got spoiled off our asses this weekend. It's a common thing when Corey's parents visit, and I always feel bad when I see the totals on the register when we go shopping, but Debbie doesn't let me say no.
Corey didn't work Friday night, so we all went to a mexican restaurant in Old Sacramento. Well, I guess Labor Day weekend is "Gold Rush Days" there....so they closed off the streets to cars, and covered them in dirt. It was a bad idea to wear flipflops....The food was greeat, but they were very slow in making and delivering it. I ate too many tortilla chips while waiting.
Debbie sends us weekly care packages (yes, weekly) and they always have cookies in them. I'm putting on pudge because of this! But she had asked me for an idea for a filler, and I had given her one, but the place to get the filler was closed everytime she went. So she brought it down with them.
HEAVEN!:
A CASE of Faygo soda. There's a place here that sells a few flavors in glass bottles, but it's not the same. There's a bbq place back home (I have 2 bottles of their amazing and spicy sauce in my cupboards) where the owners are straight from Detroit and always stock Faygo. The gal behind the counter knew me way too well because I always went in for faygo. Well, the same gal saw Debbie trying to carry several of each of these three flavors (Rock & Rye, Peach and Redpop), and convinced her and Corey's dad that it was cheaper to buy a case.
Oh the happy!
I hugged the case everytime I walked by it while it was on the counter.
Saturday, Debbie took me shopping while Corey and his dad installed his birthday presents (they're about a month early, but they're going on a cruise during his birthday): A new video card for his computer, and a new stereo for his truck. As I type this, Corey is sitting across the bedroom from me, playing Left 4 Dead. It's been a while since he's played. I love watching. The new stereo is great too, nice to have instead of the hole in his dash from when his truck was broken into. We got the usual things we needed around the apt, and carpet cleaner. And she spoiled me at Michael's craftstore, because she knows it keeps me busy while I sit at home. I got all the stuff to make the halloween cards to send out with pictures of the animals in their costumes and little halloweeny setups. Corey's mom is the Christmas queen of the family, I get to be the Halloween queen! I got more little coffin boxes, and a shoebox sized box to paint and store all the roses I've dried and saved that Corey has given me. Sadly, the box is alreadu full and I haven't even add the bouquet that's hanging above our bed. I need a bigger box.
After the shopping, we all went to Discovery park to let Molly (their dog) play in the river. Corey went in with her, I stood on the bank and took pictures with my crappy camera, which decided it wanted to be on the black and white setting for a while:
Then it went back to color
Corey had to work after the river, and that's when his parents and I went to Debbie's friends' house for dinner. The dogs ran around playing while I got to learn more about Corey's mom. And we had steak and salmon and grilled squash and mushrooms for dinner. Tinkerbell was dessert! It was a very wonderful evening.
Yesterday we went to Mel's diner for lunch, then Corey and his dad went to the driving range. Debbie and I did some driving, looking at garage sales, and spoiled Molly at some pet stores. It was fun. Corey had to work again last night, and his parents decided they were going to start the drive back to Washington before he left for work. We loaded the truck up with the things I had packed into boxes that we wouldn't need here, hugged them, got Molly kisses and agreed we'd rent a rug doctor (they complained about the piss smell that the damn chihuahua caused by peeing all over the apt).
Corey and I took a deep breath when they drove off and plopped down before getting the rug doctor. We also had to take out pills. I feel like a crazy person when I take them:
When Corey left for work, I set to shampooing the carpets. Goddamn they look amazing. And that's why Ben better not blow off my tattoo anymore. Corey's parents paid for the tools to clean up after his damn dog, and I shampooed the carpets 4 times to get all the stains up. The water was still coming up black even after 4 passes. SO GROSS. I deserve the goddamn tattoo!
Corey and I have saved up a good chunk of money to go see RemoD66 in Monterey at the end of the month, but we're going to continue to save just to have more spending money. We're trying to find a good deal on a hotel too, but we may end up just staying at a Motel 6 again, which is fine by me.
Hexxus's set is doing really well but because someone spammed her set with over 400 comments, it'll still need a good chunk of comments to get it purchased. I'm very excited for my set to come out, but I may be in the air not long after it goes up. It's official, Corey's parents are flying me home to house sit for them while they're on the cruise. I'll be missing Corey's birthday and our anniversary again, but hopefully I'll be able to get him a nice present!
Here's another teaser for you!
I have a couple more requests for clay figures, but very little motivation. I still haven't sent etaK her piece, I'm waiting to hear back from her.
I woke up at quarter til 8 this morning to shexsh and plan on being lazy now that my apartment is clean. Need something to make it smell better though....even with all the shampooing the carpets still stink.
I've come to realize that my wishlist is being highly ignored because perhaps I'm not active enough on here. Well, i'm on here every day, I'm such a lurker. But I don't go in chat...because, well, it frightens me and I always get ignored, plus I think I'd only be interesting in there if I was naked on camera....but that's not what I'm gonna do. I'm not in many grous, though I recently joined the fan art group and just love it. But whatever. I've made some fantastic friends on here and will continue updating and reading everyone's blogs and staring at the pictures.
Have a great week SGland. Hope you enjoyed your weekend
