I was going to try to wait til I got my tattoo to update, but...fuck it.

this blog is going to be all over the place and filled with pictures, so stick with me, kay?

I've been busy, in an awkward, stuck-in-the-house, almost pitiful sort of way. It started out with making a present for Violentpatriot to send with something he requested from me. I need to go back to the craft store to get something for his present too. Well, I'm going to let him post the first pictures of his present. But working on it, kicked into gear my want to do crafty things. So....I went to Michael's (the craft store) and got some little wooden coffins and painted them. And got some mini grave stones from the Halloween village set up they have (that I desperately adore, screw Christmas, I like Halloween). I plan on setting up a little photoshoot for my pets (yes even the hamster) in halloween costumes, and preparing Halloween cards to send out, instead of sending out Christmas cards like a normal person. I have to live up to my morbid name right?

I had made little clay versions of Corey and I as zombies, and had been told those should be out wedding cake topper. Well I decided they were too pudgy and I could do better. So I made new ones and got a couple pictures of them:


Yes those are the painted coffins behind them. I think...maybe I could do better again, but I like them. I'll add different angle views to my art album someday.

Thennnnn I decided to make the pet costumes.

So Astrid has bat wings. And I think I need to get him a black harness and fix how the attach to him. But when he runs, they flap. Some how I want to incorporate the leather jacket with the wings, without cutting holes in the jacket. All I can think of is the Meatloaf song "Bat out of hell":


He's not too happy with them, but I think when I get them attached better, he won't be as unhappy.

And Moliere has a vampire cape. I have to figure out how to attach it to him and get him to sit still for the photoshoot, which will probably have tiny pumpkins (like last year) and him in a coffin surrounded by tombstones.

Corey came home from work early last night because his position was kind of redundant due to one of the other, older employees being a whiny bitch. So we went to Taco Bell (I miss Taco time....stupid california). Btw, don't get the Cantina tacos at Taco Bell...the toritillas are rubbery...blech! On the way home, we were going through a neighborhood, and there was this...awkward bird, just standing in the road. It wasn't in any of the lanes, but it didn't even move, and we circled around and drove past it again to get a better look. It was definitely alive, we saw its head turn, but it didn't move from the spot it was in. I started yelling at Corey that I wanted the bird....but no....no bird for Cadavre. I had a dream about it last night (when I finally fell aslee, but we'll discuss that later) and in my dream it had some god-awful, unpronouncable name. First thing this morning, I looked it up. Turns out it's a burrowing owl. That makes a lot of sense because there is a big empty, brush-filled lot across the street from where the bird was standing. So here's the bird:

It was definitely NOT making that face, though I wish it was.

I'll probably be getting the tattoo tonight while Corey's at work. It's another piece in honor of him (the combichrist/om one on my back is for him too) and it's also based on lyrics written by Andy LaPlegua (so what..I'm obsessed....leave me alone). That's the part that really stands out to me about Corey and I. The song is kind of depressing...and it makes me think of my dad too, so yeah, maybe it's for him as well.

I'm back to insomnia....fuck. I kept trying to fall asleep last night....but just couldn't. I kept trying to think happy thoughts, but it felt like something evil and sinister was lurking in the shadows above our bed. I had to kee turning on the tv and cuddling closer to Corey. I went back into childhood habits of hiding beneath the covers...fuck.

YAY IT'S SEPTEMBER! Only a couple more weeks until I get to go see RemoD66 Corey and I are very very excited.

My future in-laws are coming into town on Friday so I should probably get back to cleaning, but goddamnit I don't want to. It feels like I'm never done. I will also be making a Tinkerbell as a GIANT thank you to Corey's mother. Especially since she bought me a CASE of my favorite soda, which is hard enought to find in Washington, let alone California....wanna take a guess...? No? Okay, so it's a case of a few of my favorite flavors of Faygo. Someone of you may know what that is....and that's awesome. I will be having a faygo shower...yeaaaaah!

So...my camera sucks. Can you tell by the HORRIBLE quality of photos of the clay figures and pet costumes? +hint hint nudge nudge......check the wishlist???+
