Dear Psychiatric Nurses,
Thanks for not filling out the paperwork and doing the leg work necessary to get two of my prescriptions covered by Medicaid. Thanks to your incompetence I have had, over the past two weeks, to pay $150 out of pocket for a short-term supply of medication I need badly to treat my bipolar. And I still don't have the drugs I need. I agree that the system itself makes things difficult by necessitating extra paperwork before it will agree to pay out the necessary monies from the General Fund, but you are, in all fairness, trained to be able to know how to do such a thing. Why you haven't long before now astonishes me.
Tomorrow I have to get my lithium level taken so I will already be downtown, but I am going to have to make a special trip to your office to tell you all precisely what needs to be done. If you knew what you were doing, this would be totally unnecessary, but your ineptitude apparently knows no bounds.
Thanks for nothing,
cabaretic.
P.S. All of you who want a reason for why we should have Universal Health Care, here it is.
