This should be a building year. Things are pretty much in place at home and at work, and as long as I pay them the attention they need they should be OK. What I need to focus on is the things I have let completely slide in the past four years.
I admit (as no one will ever read this) that what happened in January 2006 crushed my spirit. I don't know how it got that bad that suddenly, but there it is. And I don't quite know how I've gone the past four years without any salve for my wounds. I feel rather like a stop-motion photograph. I have sat still for 4 years while the world grew and went on without me. It is time I dust off the part of me that made me the man I was then and reteach it my name. Then we'll see. Like Shanley said about the power to grasp. This is the year I rebuild my hands.
