ok ok, i'm a slacker. i've even started a couple of posts and then been irritated by my inner monologue and scrapped it. but here's the update.
firstly, YAY for snow in the mountains!!!!!!
secondly, i decided not to submit my most recent set attempt. the light was too inconsistent, the backround to cluttered, and there were other problems, so it's back to the drawing board. anyway, here's the link:

as you can see it does not look professional enough. we sent some photos to napalm, and she wasn't very impressed with me, which stung to hear. i'd appreciate any critiques on poses, expressions, whatever.
maybe i am just not meant to be a model, and that's ok. i've got a lot of possitive stuff going on else where.
(i may give it one more shot, but i'm choosing to be very mysterious about what may or may not be in the works. shhhhh....)
as for other stuff. a local paper did a write up on my band, so that was cool. i'm temporarily famous. and we're going to be in some bluegrass news letter next month. i wrote a new song that i really love, and the boys i play with arranged it beautifully. also we have a saint paddy's day gig.
my bellydance class is picking up. i've had as many as seven girls in class, and there are a few who are super dedicated, so that's exciting.
also another gym is giving me studio space for free so now i get to teach twice a week. (here's to getting paid to do something fun, eh?)
i've got a hot date for valentines day with my sweetheart. although i'm usually opposed to the whole hallmark bullshit "i wuv you' nastiness, i'm actually feeling kinda romantic about it this year. he's taking me out, but he wont say where. yay for surprises.
in other not so happy news, my left wrist is strained. it's frustrating cause it's sending shooting pains into my elbow and shoulder, making it difficult to sleep. sigh. work hazards (but that's another story)
