Mungus on Goulston Street, 30 September 1888

Four recently discovered art pieces that suggest the members of Mungus were key players in the Goulston Street Atrocity and the (ultimately successful) effort to close a Dringenberg Level 9 Dimensional Shift between our world and the In Ovo.

The horror of that night is, for the most part, a well kept secret. The days leading up to it and following were rife with such vicious events that there are, to this very day, numerous and successful tours covering every aspect that night's effects on London. This man, known only as the 88th Son of War, drew about him a band of odd characters to keep the Dimensional Shift from allowing the In Ovo to birth Hell onto our world. Depicted here immediately following the battle, very little is known about him. His studies in the East gave him an edge when dealing with the Oviates spilling out of the Shift.

About this enigmatic figure very little is known, though speculation is rampant. Historians agree there were numerous incarnations of The Stallion, each one designated by a number relative to time period and physical modification. It was through his alchemical efforts, along with those of his compatriot Colonel Barkwood, that the Dimensional Shift was closed and the In Ovo was pushed back.

It was rumored that several of the creatures killed that morning were so large four local butchers had to be contracted to break them down into manageable pieces. It was also rumored the local police planted evidence and wrote cryptic messages on walls to further obscure what had happened. What is known is that the flamboyant and decorated Colonel Benjamin D. Barkwood (retired) served as political and military liaison leading up to, and following, the events of that morning (ostensibly the closing of the Dimensional Shift, though there is little hard evidence to support this specific). His rudimentary alchemical knowledge allowed him to assist The Stallion's more complex workings to close the tear between our world and something called the In Ovo. According to a purported eye-witness account (one of the men hired to fight any of the creatures that managed to come through the Shift, the so called "Oviates"), when his part in the ceremony was finished, Col. Barkwood leaped to the front line of battle alongside Mr. Muzick and the Orientally-monikered American 88th Son of War.

It is suggested that the Elder Bass may have originated from this event, though depictions of it exist from much much earlier.

Mr. Muzick was instrumental in stopping the dimensional shift that threatened to spill the In Ovo into our world. Muzick killed countless Oviates with his bare hands, including, it is rumored (though it strains credulity), more than one gek-a-gek.
