I know this @bloghomework was last weeks but I loved the topic so much and I was so preoccupied with moving last week that I didn't have time to write this.. so I'm doing it now! @missy @rambo @lyxzen
I really had to think about this for a while.. My collections have died off over time and been re sparked sometimes.. like when I was 10 I was obsessed with collecting Bratz Dolls, clearly that died off when you only earn a couple dollars in pocket money a week!
Through high school and doing art I LOVED buttons.. I collected them, I loved organizing them by size and color and character! I then started creating things out of them.. artworks and such as gifts for my grandparents and friends! This is a huge reason why my name is cherry BUTTONS! I now even have buttons tattooed on me ^_^ I don't have any where near the amount that I use to because of the artwork and crafting but I wanted to share my love for creating themes and stories with the colors
My favorite artwork was 4 small canvases that I decorated to be the 4 seasons for my grandparents. the combination of colors and shapes for each canvas were so fascinating to me! really glad I took photos of them before sending them to people! I made this when I was 18.
I also love dipping my hands into a huge bucket of buttons, the feeling is like awesome haha like putting your hands in grains or nuts ya know?
Ive even used buttons as pasties before!! super hard getting them glued on there and then getting the glue off my nipple later!
anyway getting older I started a bad habit of buying CDs.. lets face it another 20 years and they'll be the new vinyls..anyway I tried to cap myself with buying 1 CD a week.. this was problem by JBHIFI amazing deals like a table of CDs for $9.99 or 3 for $20... I'm a real sucker for CDs I would always ask for a voucher for Christmas or my birthday.. my wishlists always consisted of at least 20 albums.. and I love a lot of different genres..
I would organised them by genre and alphabetically. Emo, Screamo, Techno, RnB, rap, Pop, acoustic.. everything.. I think being a dance who loved hiphop, contemporary and cabaret meant I loved a lot of genres, I can get ma swag on as much as my jazz hands ya know? haha
by the time I had to start paying rent and working somewhere that didnt have a JBHIFI is walking distance this got less.. but It's something I want to get back into, as Im really proud of my collection as it is ^_^ This is a very small portion of them!
