So this weekends homework for SG from @missy and @rambo is to write about something that made me happy this week..
Which I feel like I really need to do as Im actually having a kinda crap week, I have PMS, im working full time hours and the burlesque group im apart of is giving me shit, so I need to take this time to focus on some good, instead of always focusing on the bad..
This week the thing that made me happy was having my day off with my baby, my lover, my fiancee. We spent the whole day together!
we slept in and cuddled, I got up and made us breakfast of pikklets, tiny pancakes but made differently.. they are so yummy and I can eat them with just butter on them, so tasty!
We then got dressed and ready, I asked her to pick out a dress for me to wear and I felt fabulous and cute. We took a drive to Victoria park and took a walk, intill we got around the pond and we laid down in the sun to talk about our wedding, the plans, the possibilities, it was really good to just connect like that. We so rarely get to spend time together that isnt doing something thats like grocery shopping or laundry.
We then went to Tre Viet in Newtown and had lunch together, she had pho and I had pork. I love vietnamese food as its so light and perfect on warm days.We took a stroll through Newtown and went to my favorite bookstore where I got my first look at Suicide Girls new photobook Geekology. Man I need to own that!
We walked home to watch then end of Season 1 of Orange is the New Black which was intense!
we only live in a tiny studio apartment but we cleaned up a bit, just tidied before cooking dinner. I showered and dyed my hair while she cooked us steak, cheezey potato chips and brocollini. I rinsed my hair and we snuggled in bed to watch MORE Orange is the New Black in till we fell asleep.
It was a pretty perfect day for me ^_^ and it made me really happy. I know this was a lot but spending time with my fiancee makes me happy, especially when we get a whole day together, as its so rare.. Gotta hold on to it and never forget!
