Let's just say......busy as shit lol. But really, who isn't busy?
I often times take a lot on....I mean, I'm a boss at my job, a wife, a mother...and now a teacher to my son...but that's another conversation!
Shootfests occurring in my state seem to be few and far between...like they never happen. Totally understandable...they can't happen everywhere and sometimes you have to have someone say hey! let's have a shootfest here! I am not a planner for that nor do I have the time unfortunately right now. So like many models, I have to travel. No biggie....time and money seem to be the only issues as they would for anyone....but what the hey, I never would have met so many wonderful people, been to places I never intended to visit and experience things I never would have experienced had I not just said fuck it, I'm going....so that's exactly what I did last month.
I had juggled around going to Ohio for a shootfest and then thought....I may be able to do it...for a weekend visit to shoot another set for SG with the first team photographer...and OG SG mind you!...I had shot with....yes...the amazing, sweet, talented, laid back Sunshine Suicide.
Driving to Ohio from my state can take about 6-8 hours. I could deal with it. So my hubs and I packed up and went to drop off our kiddo at my inlaws house when.....the car started to act up....as in....it needed to be towed to the shop for repair. Luckily, we had my car at the house and after a few extra hours driving back, switching luggage, fueling my car and going back out again for a hopefully more successful trip to the inlaws, we were on our way to Ohio. The trip wouldn't be complete without something going wrong right?
Well, the rest of the trip went well thank god...except for the rain...and the cold lol. I got to see a lot of cool things and during the drive we stopped at a little restaurant where we witnessed a kid get 11...yes you read that right...11 stuffed animals from one of those claw machines. I can't even get 1! The kid was very nice and gave us two of them (my hubs had given him 50 cents to see if he could get another animal in a row...he did!).
I would love to elaborate more on my Ohio trip to shoot my next set for SG...but I don't want to make a long blog and spoil too much! So look for another blog from me with some of the awesome stuff I saw while in Ohio! When the time is right, maybe I'll have a photo from my set to share ;)
