I got a new tattoo yesterday! I got it done in one session (and it hurt after awhile… I may consider two next time lol). It is a Luna moth with a crescent moon with a lotus flower. All of my tattoos have some meaning to me and this one well, I always liked Luna moths but when I saw the lotus, I felt drawn to it. Learning the meanings of a Luna moth and a lotus means more now than before.
Both are a sign of change and new beginnings. The lotus grows through the muck and emerges as a beautiful flower. The moth is also a sign of new beginnings. Maybe it’s a sign of things to come, but they really resonated with me.
I’m still debating on whether I want to add color to the lotus and shading to the moon (you know, tattoos are forever so I have to think if I really want to add color or not! I do feel like something is missing though! But this gives reason for another session and most importantly, healing because ouch lol).
Being here on SG, I have seen so many beautiful works of art on girls and members’ bodies….it made me want to get more! I have had a wide range of ideas from looking at different sets regarding placement and what I wanted. This community is inspiring to me with all the unique artwork people have on their bodies.
