Why does it seem that... the more you love someone and are interested in them, the less they seem to pay attention and care for you?

It is the power factor. The more someone takes you for granted, the less they think they have to do anything to keep you because they know you arent going anywhere. Sometimes what people need is a quick reality check to realize what they have and that it could be lost. Don't let anyone take you for granted and more importantly, never obsess over a person (unless secretly inside your own mind) because it will drive them away. Ta Ta's. Woohoo!
