So the end of the cross country trip was mostly uneventful save for driving through Northern Ontario in the midst of an itty-bitty snow storm causes much grief when being passed by transport trucks. It would have been ok but it was just enough snow to have the trucks leave monstrous rooster tails after they passed you, totally obscuring your vision and hoping the road...

How does one go from Fort Mac to turtle conservation? My interest is piqued.
beledi:
Ah, the lure of Fort Mac. Quick, abundant dollars, as long as you're willing to turn a cheek to what it all comes from. When do you leave for the tropics?

wow there is nothing more exhausting than an 18 hour straight drive, with minimal stoppage for gasoline and such, I only spent 34 minutes of that stopped. There is nothing I love more than being hopped up on energy drinks, cruising down the highway with the ipod on shuffle, with nothing but you, the music and the road keeping you company. Over 1700km of road...

two more shifts of work. twenty four hours of meaningless travail. a night of mayhem to send me off. some ultimate frisbee thrown in for good measure. a 4000km drive that awaits me. a week in the hometown. then seven months in the tropics. slightly busy three weeks for sure.

I got this for myself as a present to celebrate being in this town of oil for one year. Too bad it is the dead of winter, and the outside is not exactly all that pretty/inspiring. I'm surprised that i've...

the fragile mold becomes itself
with blooms come fall or autumn
i see the spread before myself
all hope has been lost and forgotten
when evenings light begins to shine
the glow becomes my bastion
vessels that show my face
lose vision by the masses
as time creeps on i hear the voice
of all the souls beneath my breath
surely this one can stay...

So ive returned to the city I work in. Oh Joy, Oh Bliss, Oh Happy Day puke

A hometown is so much more appealing when not taken in with a completely nihilistic attitude. Although the weather was absolutely dreary and overcast, with perhaps only a few fleeting moments of sunshine, I could not of been happier to be where I was. Perhaps I can just find...
