There seems an indigent righteousness that abounds in the hallowed forums and any place where a post can be made stating: SG is more than the expression of alternative beauty and lifestyles but more of a utopia. Free from traditional media formulas and goals set upon it like other companies. Individuals have sought to prescribe the definition of "SG" on things as if it a religion. Extrapolation on the founding tenants to new avenues not even conceived yet by the original authors.

I would consider SG as some kind of country, akin to the story of the birth of America, perhaps with a James Brown like founding father ("This is a man's world, but it wouldn't be nothing without a woman or a girl"). Or maybe it is more like that of a religion with all of its figures: the sinners and saints that appear to us. A cult centered around this digital church with a daily benediction and confessional. What would Manko do?

It is the strange world in which we live in now of technology and challenges. But what is reassuring and so absolutely compelling is the level at which we go to imprint our humanity. In the Innovator's Dilemma, a book that describes why technology firms rise and fall, the author states, that I'm paraphrasing here, that if you were to look at the craftsmanship and the guts of some product, you would see the reflection of the corporate culture that created it.

What are the guts of SG and what is it that we have imprinted onto it?
