It's a sign of the times you won't hear about in the papers. Things are getting tougher every year. Even in the lilly-white suburbs/ retirement villa that I live in. Hopefully, they didn't get ahold of anything too personal or irreplaceable. The other stuff will make its way back.

I must say that since I switched to MINIDISK in my car, I've had breakins with less being stole. It's a pain in the ass converting, but it may be worth it.

That sucks...I had some fucking house speakers stolen out of my Hyundai a few years back...I was that ghetto...had HOUSE speakers from a garage sale hooked up for more "bass"...and the fuckers stole them...luckily they were Sungtaikiki brand...so easily replaced at next garage sale for less than a pack of smokes. Now I drive a car that looks too friendly to break into....i have a pic of it in my pics, under the "Things of seen...Driving in MN" folder.

Sorry for your loss, hopes your Portishead collection was in the house.
