so sometimes i get into these moods where i get Completely Pissed Off at the government for their stupidity and bad logic...
:: ANWR. of course bush wants to drill in alaska. duh. the man is from oil. why are we in iraq? well it sure ain't the fucking WMDs. but aside from this... LOGICALLY, it doesn't make sense to drill in ANWR. why? because oil is going to run out. at some point, there will be no more. why not spend the billions of dollars it's going to take to destroy a wildlife refuge toward alternative energies? why? because alternate energy does not make cash flow for big energy companies. (news link: CNN. sf gate.)
:: iran. first of all, is there a reason? no. cheney says, "iran is up to something." "something" could mean taking a piss. also, iran = draft. the next draft will not ignore college students or women or any one else who somehow got out of the last draft. we are already spread too thin in iraq. if we were to get involved anywhere else, there would be no other choice. (news link: rolling stone. washington monthly.)
:: iraq. i don't want to get started on this. you cannot convince me in a 1000 years that we actually had any proof that there were WMDs there. i remember one day when i was walking somewhere and saw the columbus dispatch had "NO WMDS IN IRAQ" as the headline. no shit? really. i could have told you that 2 YEARS AGO! (news link: regaining my humanity. what i didn't see in iraq.
i'll stop now otherwise i'll go all night.
and i know that bitching doesn't do a lot. what does more is getting out there and Doing Something. voting was step one. what's next? i don't know yet. but i do know that the day after the election in november, this felt a little less like home. and it's not a feeling that has necessarily gone away yet.
from all i've heard, and all i've seen
this place has broken my american heart

he runs around ALL the time, has nervous habits such as biting on ANYTHING and EVERYTHING, scratching at the door constantly, and meowing all the time.
he is highly neurotic and hardly ever settles down. it's like having a kid in the terrible twos!
the vets suggested anxiety meds, but i am trying some homeopathic remedies and behavioral therapy first.
