i'm so hungry. damn you, pizza, get here!

i really want one! perhaps after the new year when i see where my finances are... because after you buy the violin, you've gotta pay for the lessons. i've been wanting to learn to play for years now. (thanks for the link baughn. i would have forgotten all about it.)


so i may have mentioned that my sister is getting married to an asshole. he generally treats her pretty well as far as i've seen apart from being a little bit selfish and whatnot. he's pretty okay with the rest of my family, but for some reason he has this huge Issue with me. he makes comments about the way i spend my money (which he knows nothing about!), says things like "women are pathetic" and has gotten into a fight in the middle of a movie theatre because i "go out of my way to look FREAKY" and i should expect people to stare at me because of it. right. so, let's just say he's not my favorite person in the world. aside from those particulars, if you met him, you'd probably understand.

so we found out a couple weeks ago that my sister's pregnant. (completely on accident, mind you. just goes to show the pill isn't 100% i guess.) when they said they were getting married next september, i said, "okay. that's a year away. i can get used to this. maybe i'll learn to like him..." but now, because she's pregnant, Asshole wants to get married in january. so now they're having the wedding in january. when she called to tell me that and about the baby, i hung up on her.

move forward a little bit, and now they're getting married on saturday! this is the legal bit of it, actually, since our family friend whose doing the service can't perform weddings in indiana (where they're having it in january). i understand that perfectly. what i don't understand is the fact that my sister wouldn't have told me had i not lived in town and had the fiance thought it a good idea to call and ask me to go to the dinner afterwards. she hasn't told my mom yet, but she's told my other sister and stepbrother.

first of all, i offered to take off work to come to the ceremony. "no, i think it's more important that you earn some money and not take off work." translation: i don't want you to be there.

second: why in the hell wouldn't she tell mom? the only time that i don't tell my mother things on purpose is if i know she'll disapprove, i'm ashamed of it, or it's just something she doesn't need to know (for instance, the fact that i was hungover yesterday). i told kim today that i would be absent from the dinner on saturday if she didn't tell mom. it's not my place to tell her what to do, but i'm not comfortable with the situation. i mean, fuck, i don't even want to go to their wedding, that's how upset i am that she's marrying him. and the fact that she's not telling our mom something like that... i don't know. it doesn't sit well and she can't explain it, so... we'll see, i guess.

i'm probably making a big deal over something little, but it's just another piece of the puzzle that makes me go, huh?
