my foot is falling asleep.
we're doing a floorset at work and floorset = headache. woke up 15 minutes before i was supposed to be at work... on our DM's office day. god, i'm fucking awesome. i didn't eat and i didn't get coffee, so i got there and was completely useless at first, which made me feel extra awesome.
so i bought my best friend a gamecube for christmas (i'm assuming that she's not reading this, but if she is: you are a fuckhead for not telling me you're reading this and it's your own damn fault for having ruined your present)... and i've been playing it. i bought it for her because she wants to play metroid and it was this metroid bundle deal. so i bought it and i told her that what i was getting her, i was going to open and play with (she said as long as it wasn't a vibrator, it was cool), but now i think i'm keeping it. because metroid is fucking awesome. and while i can't play mario kart on N64, i can kick ass on gamecube. so i'm keeping this one and buying her a new one because i'm all using up her memory card and whatnot. i didn't think i'd like it this much...
and i think the cat just farted... or my feet smell...
in other news: i hate insurance companies. i want socialized healthcare more than i want gay marriage... i think. i made the statement without really evaluating, but i'd say everyone having health care is a little more important than something like marriage (which i don't like anyway). what brought the bout of hatred on this time is the lab bills i just got today. i haven't called my insurance company yet, but i think it's a little ridiculous to say, "we cover your annual gyno exam, but we're not going to cover your pap smear, which is ALWAYS part of your exam." okay. wait. they covered MOST of the pap smear, but... that fucking smear was expensive! and i have to check on what i'm covered on for blood work because the labs that my doctor ordered weren't entirely covered either. so... i also have to call the doctor because the insurance company is saying they're not going to cover the appointment if they don't have more information. there's this thing called asthma... yeah, i have that. and i need prescriptions for it, so maybe you should shove your bill up your ass.
it's really not that big of a deal, it's just a pain in my ass. i wouldn't have to deal with half this shit if we had socialized healthcare.
on the upside, tomorrow is a magnificent day off. ML and i are going for sushi and maybe some happy hour goodness or something along those lines. very exciting. i haven't had sushi in far too long.
west wing marathon monday continues...
