the tires slicking from the newly wet pavement woke me from my slumber. the tires wrecklessly go through the puddles, like it didn't even phase them to ruin the somber pools of water. the pools cry out to those that will listen to their peaceful sounds. it caresses and kisses my ears. the metallic earthy smell takes hold of my whole body. i try and memorize the smell and the sounds. i want more. kiss my feet, kiss my hands. don't take me for granted as well.
