Unpopular Opinion. Turns out, it’s not for me… Proceed With Caution, or Don’t.

Nobody needs to take any notice of what I am about to write. I am merely expressing my opinion as one person in the SG universe. I also want to make it very, very clear that I have had some genuine, honest, and truly wonderful interactions with a number of people here in the months since I joined as a member.

The bummer is, that so much of what happens on this site is transactional. It’s not what I expected, but I totally get it. I do not think less of anyone who makes their living from content creation or other similar avenues. I want to make that absolutely clear!

What I do take issue with, is the insincerity of so much that goes on. People make posts, and it is a desperate plea for something or another, or just outright manipulation for “likes”, “tips”… or “buy me something because I’m pretty”. If you don’t play along, such people don’t give you the time of day.

I have reached out to many in these situations, offering, and actually giving support in many forms… and not a word in return. I don’t give anything with strings attached… that is not my point… but I suspect that what most are after in this situation is either “likes”… “join my OF (or whatever other platform)” or “send me $$$”, and a lot more $ than I am ever able to contribute.

Clearly it has not been enough. Or, it was not what was wanted in the first place. Yeah, I am naive and dumb… But I am a little over my kindness and generosity and time being almost universally snubbed. And to those who only make contact when their new set lands, or they have an OF promotion… If it’s just an advertisement… I’d rather you leave me alone. Thanks.

I may be hurting feelings here. I may be offending some. I don’t really care… I find people being fake and manipulative offensive.. so….

I’ll still be floating around the site… and to those who I have come to know in a genuine way, it’s likely I have contact with you elsewhere. I just won’t be wasting my time and energy on bullshit.

Kind of agree, I get annoyed at the heavy promotion on "other platform" content too but overall the general positivity and "return" I get from most genuine interactions still make the journey worth... I don't mind helping every now and then, of course one has to remember that from a content creator point of view, it's a business and opportunities are to be exploited, I get that too, that's the way the world goes, but don't forget that at the end the choice is yours, and as you say, stay in control and be selective, so that you develop wings and float above the bullshit 🤗

I take an “it is what it is” attitude & still enjoy the site.  For direct approaches I reply with sorry I don’t do OF” & never got a rude response.  I’ve “met” some very cool people over the years that I never would have otherwise. I’ve helped out here & there & had similar experiences to yours but try not to let it bother me - it wasn’t more than I was willing or able to give & I didn’t expect anything in return anyway.  I enjoy the banter & occasional real conversations/ support, not to mention the amazing sets of incredible ink’d women shot by some very talented photographers.  At the end of the day, it’s a business & most of the models are trying to make their way. Sets aren’t free to produce & a lot never get SOTD.
