My brother in law Karis's memorial service was last night and I'm a total basketcase....This man was a brother to me in every sense of the word, and defined what I feel is important in a human , unconditional love, always upbeat, never angry, caring, compassionate....and now we've lost another light from our family. Myself I am none of those things and pretty much a...

Wednesday and one more memorial service......feeling really mortal right now. Silly as it sounds I've been afraid to sleep, and I've been binging like crazy. Need to figure out where I'm headed, life is too short and I've not been living just existing! Peace Bill

Thanks for your comment on my blog. Doesn't sound like you're going through a good time.

Well folks, I'm thankful this bloody week is over!! My Uncle John passed away on Sunday last week, he was 78 and a great father and husband who worked hard his whole life. he raised six kids drove a truck, and never minced words with anyone! As if the mood wasn't somber enough, my bro in law Karis died on Thursday night after the Cowboys...

It occured to me that one of the major issues facing this world today is the inability to see the other side of issues...."My opinion is valid, your an idiot who should be neutered" If after much reasoning and research, I choose not to buy into the under facted, over-hyped global warming crisis, then I am an uncaring ignoramous. If your not part of the...

I don't believe in global warming...I believe in magnetic pole reversal (PROVEN through scientific research!!!). In fact I believe that people are pushing the glogal warming issue mainly for commercial reasons. Here buy this, it costs 10x more but it will save the environment...yeah no. By all means conserve, recycle and reduce pollution but global warming...no.

I've been hearing a lot about the Prop in CA about the ban on gay marriage. My initila reaction was here we go again, but it occurs to me that the government of California is overstepping its authority. What right does any state have to regulate the free choices of consenting adults? The original reasons for controlling marriage have a basis in the now discarded...

I've been in a pensive mood lately....I'm wondering about a lot of the choices I have made in my life. SHould I change things or just hope they get better and stick with it. I regret not pursuing my dreams, I regret not giving more of myself to the things that are important to me. I've been on cruise control for twenty years, and now...

I'm all for chasing dreams and going after what you want. I'm also a firm believer in baby steps, sometimes. Too much at once and it all gets overwhelming and too big to tackle. Baby steps are hard, too, of course, because, if you're anything like me--you want it all NOW. Ha.
I'd know Elam anywhere. Grew up on cowboy movies and western tv shows. Loved High Chaparral, The Virginian, The Rifleman, etc. on tv, and I've probably seen every cowboy movie in existence at least three times--thanks to my Dad. Don't know if I have a favorite cowboy. I always liked Lee Marvin in Westerns, but I don't know that I'd call him a cowboy actor. Do you remember seeing a very young Dennis Hopper in westerns waaaayyy before the Easy Rider days? He played a yellow-belly son of a rich man in one such movie, but I don't remember the title right now. Jack Nicholson shows up in little bit parts in some westerns, too.
Anyway, thanks for the note. I've worked a 13 hour day today, so I'm a little tired-stupid and overly talky. Forgive me the ramble!

This is a dawn of a new day for our nation! Divisiveness is relagated to the scrapheap of history and, hopefully, we can move forward as a nation and bring prosperity to our land! I am thinking of going to DC to see the inaugaration for the first time in my life. We have placed our hopes and dreams for a better tomorrow on the...
