What's made me happy This week? Well @rambo and @missy , I'll tell you.

I started cooking again, and I mean really cooking. I've gone WAY too long without doing anything proper in the kitchen over the last 2 and a half years. I was living in a foreign country where I had NO idea about the language and the supermarkets were either stupidly expensive or didn't have any real food in it of good quality. I then went back to university where I was working 2 jobs and still having no money to buy anything past pasta and pasta sauce.

now I'm living in a different country, but I can afford to get stuff that I want, that I can try to cook into new things. And I've been loving it. I made a real lasagne again for the first time in a year last week, and I made brownies last night (no added ingredients, this one was for family members). now I'm using the chicken I cooked last night o make stock and soup- and I LOVE IT.

something my family have said about me for a long time - I looks so happy when I cook. And it's true, i enjoy it so much, theres something about being able to follow a recipe and maybe throw in a few changes that really helps me relax and takes my mind of off other things. I can just cook, and have fun whilst doing so.

Plus i get to lick the bowl after melting the chocolate for the brownies ;) Always a plus!
