I'm stuck working on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.
But, of course, not very many people fly on any of these days. So all the people at my checkpoint are going to do the holidays right.
So far we've only got Thanksgiving planned. I'm bringing in my microwave, someone's cooking the turkey...we're going to do the whole big Thanksgiving meal thing. And this makes me happy.
Not because I think any holidays are that big a deal.
But all of us are stuck at work, away from our families, where almost all of us would much rather be.
It's just really cool that instead of being miserable, we've decided to make the most of our situation, turning what could have been a terrible day into something fun.
Sometimes humans aren't so bad after all.
