lazy sunday. breakfast at thornton's is pretty much standard for sundays. and wake and bake is pretty much standard for every day. same for white russians. running low on ingredients though...

so i'll be checking out chinatown for the first time ever tonight. i'm quite pumped about it. i guess one of the guys we're going with is chinese, and she's going to have to order for us. sounds very interesting. i'm always down for new people too. new anything, really.

why? because i am a product. i am a consumer. it's a dreary thought to think how most of us succumb to the will of society, even those of us who resist it the most. capitalism and consumerism advocate quick and easy solutions to general daily needs. people don't even enjoy meals nowadays. i thoroughly enjoy the tables that are out to have a good time. as a waiter, i look at my job as a performance. i force as much cheesy, corny fun down my tables throats as they care to swallow or choke on. they forget about they're prioritized need: spend money and consume food.

the way i see it, the best way to extract yourself from it all is to amuse yourself. daily. constantly. i do it with words. some people do it with self-image. others do it through art. it doesn't matter, as long as it is a creative and unique product. After all, we're essentially brought up and raised in this society, and it's hard not to "produce" something. Nevertheless, a creative mind can keep you out of the droning mess of the everyday that so many others complain about every god damn day. And i'm all set with that crap.
