Old homework, new set

Hi my dear!! I really wish @rambo @missy and @lyxzen will give me the home page with this blog, so I can be sure all of you will read it. I couldn't answer you one by one, you are SO MANY and I'm sinking in the love you are giving to my new set Free Time Boring Time... And, as we say in Italy: it's sweet to shipwreck in this sea. (For itaians: Naufragar m'è dolce in questo mare)

What can I say? "Thank you" is not enough, nothing would be enough, I wish I could come and hug you one by one, and still it wouldn't be enough! I feel like there is no way I can give you back the liove you are sharing with me <3

So, I decided to write an #homework to share some pieces of my life with you, as I think that memories and time are the biggest treasures we all have.

Here it is!

3/25: Favorite story from your family history

Well, as some of you know I am from Genova, specifically from a little town nearby, and my father and his family are from that little town up on the hills on the back of the city, where people were used to work hard and grow their own food from a land which was not easy to farm. People there are pragmatic and simple, and even their connectio with God is strange: they talk to Him as a friend, so even with bad words, and sometimes they feel offended by Him, if He doesn't answer their prayers: when my uncle died, around years ago, my grandma stopped going to the church, even if she was used to go EVERY SUNDAY. She still watches the Pope's mass, and truly believes, but she never went back in a church as she thinks that if God let her son die, than He doesn't deserve her presence in the church.

I find it very funny and lovely... xD

I don't remember my grandfather, as he died when I was a little child (around 2/3 years old), and my father often tells some stories about him, one is this one:

The house they lived in, which is the one I grew up in with my brother and cousins, was big with a very big garden, and their neighbor was an industrial building used as stock for brine olives. The owner of that business wanted to buy the garden from my home to expand the building, and he often left his dog inside, so my grandfather's one would go and try to have babies with his one, and a lot of stuff like that.

So, once the owner of the business asked my grandfather if he would sell him a square meter of the garden, just in the centre, because he wanted to put there a street lamp "to give some light inside the building". Of course he wanted that square meter perfectly in the centre so my grandfather would have selled the whole garden, which would have been useless with that light in the middle.

But my grandfather was an asshole and answered "Of course, but only if you sell me a square meter in the middle of your building." Perfectly serious. So the businessman answered "Why? What would you do in it??"

The answer makes me laugh ever time I think about this conversation, as my granpa answered "I want to build a hen-house there."

Now, I want you to imagine the face of that businessman who wanted to grow his business and heard that non-sense answer. I want you to truly figure it out. And now, let's imagine a square hen-house in the middle of a olive stock, where people work.

Of course, my garden was still complete when I left that home xD

I hope you'll like this little provincial story, which explains a bit also why I grew up so strange and "bitchy", as my father is very similar to his one!

Now, let me leave you with a pic from my new set, online from yesterday morning, which I truly believe you could like, if you haven't see it yet!

Wishing you a nice monday and a great week start,

with Love,

Brunhild.
