I went to see Goldmember again this afternoon, this time with my sisters. When I saw it last Sunday, I was drunk and laughed my ass off. Sober, it was still relatively funny, although nowhere nearly as funny as the first movie.
I did laugh a lot, however it was mainly at this person behind me who kept laughing so loud that he drowned out the dialogue, and for ridiculous amounts of time. Whenever anything even remotely funny happened, hed begin laughing, kind of an eeee-hee-hee-heeeeeee-heee-heeeeee-heeeeee-heee-hooo and youd think he was about to stop, because hed run out of air, but then Hooo-hoo-hoo-heeeeee-cough-hooo-heee-hee-heee-haaaaw-hee-ha-ha-hee-haaaaaws would start up. By the time hed stop laughing, hed be making these horrible wheezing sounds, and coughing and gagging.
At first I was laughing with him, then at him, then at how uncomfortable he would make the audience. I started to suspect that he was some kind of truly sick, but brilliant person who saw the humor in how awkward he was making everyone feel, possibly my old friend Schnud. Tragically, it was just some old guy in a Bonanza steak house mesh hat.
