Blah. Montreal was a strange trip. Not being at all fluent in French, I felt like a mute, deaf, illiterate most of the time. Oh well, it gave me an excuse to wear my sunglasses instead of my coke bottles.
I decided that it probably would be best if I didn't drink there, despite the higher alcohol content of their beer, because I knew Id probably (a) Get horribly lost and find myself on a boat headed for whatever the former Northwest Territories; (b) start panicking when I realized that I cant communicate with the other people in the bar; (c) get the crud knocked out of me after making really unfunny and lame aboot and eh jokes; (d) get the crud knocked out of me, panic, run out into the streets, get horribly lost and wake up in the biodome cradling a capybara.
The Montreal Art Museum was nice, but lacked anything truly amazing. My favorite pieces on display were Michael the Arc Angel Goes Bowling in Hell (not actual name, actually an image of the descent of the fallen angels, but it looks like the Arc Angel is bowling), a cool piece called The Trail by someone whose name eludes me, and a Kiki Smith sculpture of a baby in the womb.
The three high points of my trip were seeing a movie in the most comfortable movie seats Ive ever sat in, finding the new Mad Sin CD, Survival of the Sickest, and staring down the alpha emperor penguin at the biodome (I have pictures).
