The Narcolepsy That Smiles Back

My lack of sleep seems to be catching up with me, or I am becoming narcoleptic. As per usual of late, my friends were nowhere to be found, so around nine, I picked up an H.P. Lovecraft collection, flopped down on my bed, and began to read. After perusing two and a half chapters of Herbert West Reanimator, I found myself exceptionally tired. I remember looking at the clock, seeing that it wasnt even ten yet, and then blinking once or twice. Its now four in the morning. I have just woken up, fully clothed, with both the overhead, and my reading lamp shining in my face, and my computer running as loudly as ever, sounding like defective scuba gear. The paper boy's engine is idling and his door ajar bells are ringing outside my window.
I have a hankering for muffins. Had I some cash handy and livelier company than a yawning, Stinky Cat on my bed, I might consider walking up to the Dunkin' Donuts on Main Street.
