Okay, halloween weekend summary.
Friday, the 31st:
Friday morning I carved 4 pumpkins from the garden, then raked up leaves so kids wouldn't trip and tehir parents wouldn't sue us. Worked out. Put on the costume. I had my hair up in a quiff/psychopomp instead of a devil lock. My friend Erika and her 1 year old son Neegin showed up. Neegin was sound asleep in his little bat costume (aww).
Erika and my sister, Kate, were going to take Neegin trick or treating, but Neegin was sound asleep. ince the trick or treating was off, we all headed to Vin's party. A good time was had, PBR was consumed, hot girls in witch costumes were oggled from afar. The bands were told to stop playing and the shindig began winding down after someone who was bounced for causing too much trouble was jumped outside and the cops showed up.
Saturday, Nov. 1st
Went to Portland with Kate. We hit the surplus store and Targt, then got lunch at Silly's. After lunch, we went to the Portland Museum of Art. I found a Jasper Johns sketch of half of a lightbulb, and suddenly recalled the lightbulb stealing from the simpsons. I wish i had brought my camera, the windows at the museum had the best framed view of congress street possible. After two hours of museumy fun, we went back to Lewiston. I spent the evening painting a model.
