Ah, stress, my old friend...
I still havent finished my thesis and it's due in an hour and fifteen minutes. It seems that I may have to do some groveling. At this point, all that is really left is for me to fill in some minor details and add passages to make the sections flow together better.

I finally saw "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" last night. I came out of the theater questioning whether I had ever seen a better movie. I've never seen the silliness, misery and sweetness of a relationship captured so well. The film was almost a little too surreal at times, despite the intensely surreal imagery.

Teenagers with their Twister and their hula hoops and Dan Fogelburg!!!! *shakes fist*
I wrote a nice little story on my Deadbolt show experience. It was good fucking times.
Sunshine is playing at the little theatre next to my house. I really really want to go see it. I've been hearing such great stuff.
When I hit grad school, I want to write my thesis on the psychology of punk rock and the male/female role in the scene. Particularly, I want to touch on how much modern anarchist/activists resemble hippies. I bet I'll lose scen points if I do...

My sister asked me if I wanted to go down to Freeport this afternoon for coffee. I had to decline because I need to finish my thesis.
My mother over heard this, sat down next to me and said "You need an incentive to finish that paper."
Assuming she meant an iced coffee or something, I jokingly said "Yeah, sure, how about a tattoo."
"Okay....

It pays to be a younger sibling. I think parents learn which battles are worth fighting, that or they just get lazy. I'd still be suspicious.

I was on my way home from the bank, and had made it to the corner of College and Montello St, when I felt the overwelming urge to take a joyride. It was warm and sunny with a slight breeze. I had my windows rolled all the way down and Apocolypse Dudes blasting on my stereo. To not have seized the moment would have been...

She's my fav! MurderCityDevils rock my world, thanx. RZA is one of the best mixers I have ever heard. When I saw Vol.2 I told myself, when I see Quentin again, I WILL make out with him. Troama is the shit too...bye

You know what kind of stinks? Being tall and built like an old-timey Irish bare knuckle boxer. I just had to turn down a free Battle Royale pull over hoodie because I knew an XL would never fit my neck and arms and an XXL would make me look like a man in a hefty bag.

I went down to the Brunswick Bull Moose this evening to get my sister, Kate, a Trojan Records compilation for her birthday. I ended up getting her the mod reggae one because it had more variety than the Upsetters compilation.

It's amazingly sunny and warm today with a nice western wind. How will I spend my afternoon you ask? Cleaning up after some little shit's vandalism spree across my neighborhood. I think it's time I organize a nighborhood watch. No, not the Ed McMahon style of neighborhood watch. This will definitely be an old school, Pug Ugly style neighborhood watch. We will wear cool jackets,...

So after a nap and some asparin for my hangover, I went to see Kill Bill Vol. 2 with my sister, Kate. I loved the film, but in a very different way than the first. It's less like Versus meets Saturday Night Fever this time around, more like Buffalo '66 meets Full House meets 5 Fingers of Death. There was signifigantly less gore this time...

Last night, I went bar hopping with my friend Ophelia from Boston.
I got in to Portland around 3:30, and hit up the USM library for some more articles for my thesis. Apparently it was the library's grand opening following soem renovations. As I sat rifling through the periodicals, wave after wave of suits, scholars and trustees kept passing boy. At one point, I was...

I felt awful this afternoon due to sleep problems, gloomy weather, and stress, and suddenly felt myself overcome by the need to quietly unwind and study in a familiar environment. With that in mind, I ducked into the Den at Bates College, and ordered a cup of tea.

Oh God no! I refuse to frequent bars that have TV's. If I'm going to a bar, I want to relax, maybe study, maybe shoot pool and be a schmuck. I don't need to deal with hooting and hollering sports fans arguing over homoerotic behaviors.
Something about the mid twenties screams crotchety though... I don't know what it is. Lately I find myself actually mumbling "damn teenagers."
