Well it's morning back in Tucson and it's nice to be home. I woke up really early but just lay around till the phone rang. It was mom. Seems there's been a huge ice storm in the midwest and I didn't even notice.
Mom and dad have been without power since Fri night and without water since Sat. They've got wood heat though and they went to town to their buisness and filled up water jugs for the house. One grandma had to go to her sisters house but the other is fine. I knew her retirement home was a good one but I didn't know how good. They've got back up generators for power.
My sister and her family are without power too but they have a gas fireplace. The stove is electric though so they've been eating sandwiches for three days.
All in all everyone is doing fine so I don't have to worry. I can enjoy my coffee worry free.
