Okay, I need a new project, so I decided I'm going to learn how to dj. A friend wanted me to spin at her bar on New Year's Eve, but seeing as how I've never done it before, I had to kindly decline. Lately, I've noticed that if I sit still for too long, my mind begins to wander to places it shouldn't, so this ought to be a perfect distraction (if not a kind of pricey one since I want my own gear). I'm hoping my friend will let me spin at her bar on the night of my b-day, kind of like a special b-day present to myself. A buddy of mine said he'd teach me Saturday night and all I have to do is pick up a copy of Battle Royal II for him at the Japanese gift shop at the mall by my parent's house. I considered taking up boxing, but at nearly the same cost, I figured that spinning records at a bar once a month or so would be a bit more social and at the very least give me the opportunity to meet cute girls with impeccable taste in music. Anyway, in no particular order, here's my playlist of my vinyl stuff so far. Let me know what you guys think (but don't even think about stealin' it or you'll get an ass-whuppin'!):

.) Blondie - "Atomic"
.) Gang of Four - "To Hell With Poverty"
.) Glass Candy - something I'm sure
.) The Go! Team - "Lady Flash"
.) Michael Jackson - "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough"
.) Jesus & Mary Chain - "Head On"
.) Joy Division - "Love Will Tear Us Apart"
.) Ministry - "Halloween"
.) Nena - "99 Red Balloons" (English version)
.) New Order - "Tempation"
.) Nuns - "Savage"
.) OMD - "Enola Gay"
.) Siouxsie & The Banshees - "Hong Kong Garden"
.) Soft Cell - "Tainted Love"
.) Long Blondes - "Giddy Stratospheres"
.) Book Of Love - "Tubular Bells"/"Pretty Boys & Pretty Girls"
.) Jarvis Cocker - "Fat Children"

Oh, one more I forgot to add from yesterday:

.) Death From Above 1979 - "Black History Month" (whatever remix version I have)
