Morning, SG folks!!
I got an unexpected day off - after some extreme weather in Houston over the weekend (not just heat, but windstorms), my office building is currently closed for electrical repairs.
My partner - the infamous Mistress Sindra - got swarmed by hornets last night while I was at the other job, couldn't even leave to take care of her until hours later 🙃. Very glad to have some downtime for her care needs today ❤️🩹.
I don't expect I'll be on here too much today... Looking forward to catching up with everyone when I get a chance, back soon <3

Thanks for checking in everyone!! We counted about 30 stings, but she is much better today. The acute pain is wearing off, some lingering itchiness - and reduced joint aches? We've heard about bee venom therapy, glad to have this pleasant side effect. We I'D the culprits - they are "bald-faced hornets", they are social wasp that builds large nests - difficult to miss under ordinary circumstances, this colony had taken up residence inside of a loosely-folded tarp in our backyard instead... nasty surprise :(
