Kismet.

I did a search on a local bulletin board for people in my little corner of the Czech Republic and I found a post by a women who was new in town... last year. I dropped her a line and it turns out she's also a foreigner who invested in a property here. So I asked if we could meet and I could pick her brain about her experiences. We met this afternoon and it turns out that I bought the flat directly below her! She and her husband have been working on their space for a year so I checked it out. I'm jealous. Not only do they have a toilet in their bathroom but they have 40 more sq. meters than I do. So the good news is, not only do I have some cool new friends but I have a fresh wellspring of experience to draw from as I enter into this project.

In other news I made an attempt to sign up for ceramics or drawing classes today. Turns out I can't take classes at the art university unless I'm a student so I emailed the teachers asking for recommendations on where to take adult workshops.

Had my 3rd language lesson today... I wonder how much longer will I be feeling like a retard....
