The Very First Picture I Took On My NEW TOY!!!

So here it is, the very first picture that I took on my brand new Canon Rebel XT EOS.



I know that the quality is a bit off, but I havent figured out exactly how to compress and manipulate the files down to smaller sizes yet. So much to learn! Im so in love with this camera though. I actually woke up in the middle of the night last night and reach over and touched it. I know that sounds nuts, but I just wanted the sun to come up so that I could take pictures on the way to work. There have already been comments about the growth on my face. I should be nice to my Fella though. Hes become the de facto model as I play around with stuff. Last night we were sitting in Caf Pick Me Up across from Thompkins Square Park (where we met, actually) and I was constantly fiddling, shooting, fiddling, shootingall while he was trying very hard to get Work done. Im sure it is distracting to be thinking about corporate mergers and acquisitions and whatnot while someone is clicking away with a camera three feet from your face. Tough. I make him dinner. Hell have to put up with it. :wink:

On other camera related news, I have named the camera Rupert. Not only is Rupert the real name of Giles (Buffy reference) but it is also a nod to shatterkiss for all his photographic genius. :grin: I actually really like the name Rupert which is probably why people never ask me to contribute names to the Name The Baby process. Their loss.

Batman Begins

The Fella cant wait to see it. In fact, he tried to get me to go last night. He seemed unimpressed with my observation that it wasnt actually going to be out until Wednesday So all you SGNYers go check out the SGNY EVENTS section for the date and time hopefully there will be a lovely little group that wants to go. I know that the_shine and I will be thereand the Fella will be along, too

Last Saturday

Burgers with the_shine and PixelPimp at Paul's Place over in St. Marks row. Then a little Satelite action (or lack thereof) and off to join the rest of the Coolest People In the City (SGNY.) Finally got to share three words with Girlie and got to hang with Krrn (who is really, really, really sweet!) She has such a bubbly and sincere energy. Also met, for the first time in the flesh, the BEAUTIFUL Nefaria who is just divine. Meow! And thanks to luna I'm jones-ing to see The Warriors again with sound...

PIXIES

Someone just gave me a ticket to see the Pixies tomorrow night at Jonest Beach...OMG!!! LCD Soundsystem and Interpol providing some warm up... God, I'm desperate to take "Rupert" (see higher up in this post) out for some action...but I have no telephoto yet. Urgh. Who cares? He's going with me! THE FRIGGIN' PIXIES...I could not be more excited...
