Tomorrow I'm going North with a van load of friends who are all going snowboarding/skiing. I'm going to be the lodge mother. Damn it. I wanna go snowboarding!
I'm having an Anti-St. Patty's Day party. Being Scottish I can't really see buying into the whole Irish festivities since we Scots are supposed to be scorn enemies of the Irish. Although we are drinking Irish inspired drinks. Seemed appropriate. The wearing of the green we're playing for the green -- Texas Hold'em all night and Irish coffee...and something called an Irish Kiss and and Irish Horseman. Basically, Irish booze. Me, the lightweight is drinking diet Sunkist.
I can't really see the screen because my eyes are all blurry. During my check-up appointment the doctor told me that I'm already seeing 20/25 and that by Monday I'll be seeing 20/15, but for the meantime I can't see anything within 5 feet of me, which means that I'm not going to be playing poker. So I'll sit and sip orange soda and take pictures of everyone else.
The knitting project is going well: I'm knitting a turtle toy for a friend of mine whose wife is getting ready to give birth to a lil' munchkin. It is so cute that I want one, too. Perhaps I'll make a pink turtle for myself.
