Tomorrow is the Big Meeting between my boss and the Big Big BIG Dude -- It seems that The Outcome of Everything will be on the table tomorrow. Not sure why I'm up at 4am about it. But I am. I've failed at precious few things in my life and I don't like being associated with things that fail, even when the failing is not my fault. For all my complaining the last few months I have worked really hard in the hopes of helping to reverse what seemed inevitable. Tomorrow that gets determined.
My knee is killing me. It keeps swelling up again everytime I think it is getting "better." I want to go again this week, but this dumb knee has to cooperate. Maybe by Thursday... All the snow is going to melt! It isn't fair! I want to go again! (And don't anyone give me crap about "life isn't fair." This is MY life. I'll complain about the relative fairness of it regardless of all the philosophical reasons why it is pointless and futile to do so.)
I saw a movie last week that really stayed with me "Last Day in the Universe." It is a Taiwanese movie. Really interesting. It is worth a viewing. I'm dying for someone else to watch it so that I can talk to them about it. I'm still not sure what I think, but I love any movie that "stays" with me for this long.
My dad is speaking at some big conference up here this Friday, so I get to have him all to myself on Saturday! My dad is the coolest dad ever. We're going to see the Producers, have dinner at The Harrison and then...then my friends, I will take him to the real fun...the underbelly of this beautiful City. *evil laughter* He's so much fun. He'll be game to try anything. So, suggestions? This is one of the first weekends that I won't be DJing, so I'm free to take him out on the town. Perfect.
