I'm completely hooked. I haven't gotten such a thrill doing anything since I used to ride and jump over things as tall as me. Snowboarding is just like riding a horse. The second I realized that it was like I'd been doing it for awhile. I had just a blast. I still have that doppy smile smeared across my face! My only "injury" was from my friend dropping his snowboard on my leg as I leaned into his car to grab something. So I have this huge bruise (and I'm not a stranger to bruises) directly over the knee joint on my right leg. Unfortunately, it is swollen today and hurts so much that I decided to come home early today and start some decent "after care" on it. Geez it hurts. Otherwise, it was awesome! I'm going to buy a snowboard and my own bindings. I stayed and chatted with the guys working in the shop for an hour after they closed and got lots of tips. Now I just have to figure out how to get back up there in the next week or so! This is the first time I've wished that I had a car here in the City.

More about the trip later. I just bought fabric to recover this amazing chair that I found on the street. It was so amazing that I hauled it the 17 blocks home since I couldn't find a car service to help. It was 3 a.m. It was cold. It is a beautiful chair. I also bought ridiculously trashy kitchy fabric to make curtains for my kitchen. Off to sew with me. And to ice the knee. Ouch.
