One Job Away From The Lighting Setup

By this time tomorrow I will have saved up enough green ones from my modeling gigs up here in the Big Wonderful City to get my much anticipated by me strobes and stands and soft boxes andstuff I feel oddly accomplished. I find it somehow much more satisfying to know that while completely "unemployed" Ive been able to creatively
generate enough paying work (without stooping to work that Id ever regret) to support myself. When I started this little adventure I decided that I would only fund my photography toys by what I could earn from modeling. Just because I like challenges like that. Okay, Im certainly not generating a big ol bankroll or anything, but enough to keep myself
in soymilk and gas andnow, LIGHTS. Im so happy. I love spending time with photographers in photo studios. I learn so much each timeits funand its feeding this little photography indulgence of mine. This time next week the lights should be here! That means that all the lovely people out there in SGNY land should let me shoot them. Practice for me and pictures for you

My Lack of Bar-Worthy Conversation Skills

Ive always maintained that I could talk to Anyone, Anywhere and about Anything. And I can. But after working in nightclubs for years my energy for have Those Same Conversations in Bars seems like a lot of work. I just dont care. I dont know if that makes me dull or not, but lord, sometimes it is amazing to me that people can Still Do That. Of course, not being much of a social drinker has a big role to play in that. Im such a light-weight that inevitably I end up drinking about 5 diet Cokes, which I hate to begin withso I just have to pee and the next day I feel like a whale from too much soda. And I feel like a stick in the mud.

Wrote This Today

I love driving across the Bridge into Brooklyn from Staten Island. There is something BIG about it. I love to look out and see the giant ships in the harbor.

So it is time to cut back on the modeling so that I have more time to shoot people and things. Thankfully, Ive been offered a little mini-job that will let me cut way back on the modeling jobs that I have to take in order to live. Im such a lucky girl. So anyone who wants to play model for menow is the time to let me know! After Turkey Day I want to shoot everydayso take your pick.

Random Things

I love honey mustard.
I hate it when people wear socks to bed.
Im craving peanut butter right now.
Im mildly allergic to cats, but I put up with it because I love them.
Ive only played one video game onceand that was Duck Hunt back like 15 years ago or something.
I hate talking on the phone.
I love sending people mail.
I just saw Terminator and Terminator II for the very first time this past weekend.
