dripping honey

words tiptoeing through the hallways of
my ear
thoughts like footstops
parting my waters
clearing my head of

where have the thought soldiers gone?

seven golden daffodils standing vigil
represent
some other continuation,
a silent spirit,
not so unlike every other pied piper poet
spitting lyrics like sappy spitup
smothering souls
with
their
smitten
selves
self
righteous
words
like I AM
and I BE
and whatever color is the trend that year,

black woman hear me roar, blah blah blah, blah, blah, blah and so on and so on on, and on and on
NO
give me some red woman hear me burn
burn burn
give me some spirit

cuz
all I've got is seven golden daffodils
paper thin and fragile
standing vigil in my mind
ghosts of the rythm which once inhabited that place
sharing room now
getting crowded
so spark it strike it with something
truer than you
me
infinity
give me a reason to write
and rhyme , out loud anyway
