Hello my SG family! How is everyone going? I hope life is treating you ok and if its not that you have someone amazing to talk to or hold your hand through it.
So i found this picture on my computer and thought i would use it to tell you all about something about myself. This is a photo of me bullying the jukebox at Cherry Bar in Melbourne. My most favourite jukebox in the whole world. I have put a lot of money in this amazing thing over the years. It its filled with the most amazing Rock n Roll tracks that make dancing til the sun comes up so much fun.
Music is everything in my world! I have meet all my friends (except for SG friends) through music, it has helped me through the hardest times in my life, its the one of the things that my unique brain really gets and i have no trouble giving my attention to it. Music is really the reason that i am still alive today and the reason i get out of bed in the morning.
My SG name is after one of my all time favourites bands The Bronx, all my sets are named after songs i love and the descriptions all feature lyrics from those songs. I always try to find lyrics that have a little in common withe the theme of the set.
I have been very lucky to spend the last couple of years working in the music industry. Its definitely not the glamorous hang out with rock stars kind of role but everyday i go and fight for the rights of songwriters, make sure that businesses and concert promoters value the people that create the songs that help them make money. It can be heartbreaking sometimes but its something i care very deeply for and i love that i get to do it for a living.
Standing in a room watching great live music, my ears ringing and my heart feeling the deep low bass noises is my super happy place. Seeing my favourite bands and singing along to my favourite songs gives me the biggest smile and it takes a lot to take that away. I organise my holidays around going to concerts or festivals. My US adventure earlier this year was based around going to Black n Blue Bowl in NYC and going to my friends festival in Vegas Punk Rock Bowling.
Generally i listen to Punk Rock and Hardcore but i really do love most styles of music. I absolutely love country music, its so honest and really raw and some of the most famous pop songs have been written by country music stars. Music that doesn't have lyrics and a lot of EDM is not my cup of tea but i would never judge anyone that does because you know how amazing that feeling is inside when you listen to the music you love and how can you judge someone who has that.
I also have a love for sharing music with people and love making mixed CDs (mixed tapes back when i was younger) so if anyone would like me to make them a mixed CD and listen to some of my favourite tunes then send me a message with your address :)
