The past few days have been rewarding. Dinner on Friday was great...we ate SOOOO much food. The owner of the sushi place was even sending us free stuff. 
We planned to drink more sake, but just ended up splitting 1 large bottle...I guess it was more about the food and company.
Saturday was spent at the animal shelter helping my roommate pick out a cat...it's his first pet, so he's excited. He also dropped $600 on random shit...super-turbo self-cleaning litterbox, cat play tower, scratching post, toys, etc. The cat's not actually here yet, but he picks it up today. It will be interesting to see how he takes to my cat and vice versa. The new guy is used to being around other cats...mine has been a pampered queen for the past 4 years The place we got it from is cool...they have a no-death policy and consider themselves more of a rescue facility. I felt bad for some of the older cats...they have some that are 5-10 years old and will likely spend the rest of their lives in cages.
Well, let's see...what else. I continue to be intrigued by the woman at work. We send each other stupid emails with very leading "getting to know you" questions. It's good fun. All I hope comes from it is a new friend to hang out with. I really need to meet some new people....all my old friends are married...all my current friends are getting married...so hanging out with younger people who aren't married is my only choice. I'm not saying marriage is a bad thing, but all my friends talk about anymore is saving money, considering a family, asking permission to go out to have a couple beers with the guys. What kind of life is that? A fulfilling one I guess...I'm just jealous.
