So I totally nerded out last night and made an impulse buy of the new Nintendo DS Lite, a copy of Nintendogs "Dachshund & Friends" edition, and Animal Crossing. The girl at the register asked "Is this for YOU?", which made me feel old. She then asked if I wanted their 2 year replacement plan...I asked if it covered getting smashed up with a hammer or shattered against a wall. They weren't amused.

Nintendogs is one of those "virtual pet" games, but on steroids. I have two wiener dogs named "Oscar" and "Meyer"....to train them, you have to talk to them through the built in microphone...call their names...teach them various tricks by making various gestures and saying "sit!" or whatever repeatedly. People cross the street to avoid me when they see me yelling "OSCAR...MEYER...NO...NO...STAY..." into a tiny little white box. Out of context...gamer conversations are pretty bizarre. Re: Animal Crossing, I told my roommate he'd "better stay out of my town and keep his filthy hands off my cherries!"...the waitress backed away slowly.

Ugh..nothing but meetings today, so I need to put on something presentable. I'm totally ill-prepared for one, but I have a few hours to think about something to talk about. That being said, I need to get showered and polished.
