*grump* The cat woke me up this morning early...well...earlier than my jobless ass has been getting up for the past several months. That's all about to change though.
A year ago, this last February, I decided to take a year off from the 9 to 5 grind. I enjoyed it very much -- like I've before said before, I've never been happier or more relaxed. I've been bored lately though...too much time with myself I guess. I need to clean the rust off the gears and get used to working 8-12 hour days and traveling 2 weeks a month.
This weather has been awesome lately and I'm hoping it sticks around a bit more. As much as I love the rainy season, it does seem to make me feel gloomy and lazy. This cloudless sky I see out my window is calling me!
Well, I'm pacing like an expectant father...today at 2pm, my soon-to-be boss is going to call me to go over the terms of my new work contract. I'm very excited, but I need to get it out of my system so I don't sound TOO giddy or desperate on the phone.
Watched the new Zorro movie last night. It was a movie I've seen 1000 times before, but was entertaining...for the first 1.5 hours. I dunno what the hell is up with all the 2-3 hour movies these days. Maybe my attention span is dwindling in my old age, but seems to me a lot of movies would be just as entertaining without the extra hour in them. *cough* King Kong *cough*
Ah well, it's after 8, so I should start the morning ritual. I have to read/watch all of the various highlights from last week's big trade show, so when I have my 2pm call I'll sound like I've actually been paying attention.

I don't read the news either, and I used to be a journalist, so it's a huge change. I figure there's nothing I can do about it anyway, so I may as well not aggravate the ulcer.
