In case you didn't know I ADORE corsets. Everything about them from the elegance of their design to the beauty they add to any outfit to the extreme shape that fetish models sometimes use them for is simply awesome to me. Naturally, when I decided to start crossplay almost two years ago corsets became a mandatory item on my wishlist. However, I found corsets can be really expensive and non-custom made corsets can be really hard to find. Thankfully, Corset Deal had a Black Friday sale and I was able to score a pair of corsets, one you've seen already and another I ordered today.
I have a new obsession.
Anyway, now that I have a corset the real question is what do I wear it with? The obvious answer was my Ivy Valentine crossplay that I already posted pictures of, however, it would be a waste to have only that one crossplay so I decided today to rummage around and see what I could piece together.
The first thing I thought of was this white bodysuit that I've had for a while. I forget what I originally bought it for but I decided to try it with my breast forms and new corset and see what happens. The result wasn't bad in my mind. The fabric of the corset stands out from the bodysuit really well so it could go well on the outside even though I originally bought it to wear only underneath. The harness doesn't go well with the corset so if I'm going to wear that I'll have to cover the corset up. I'll probably just forgo the harness altogether and wear it for something else later on.
This is a corset a good friend of ours gave my wife. It didn't fit her very well and she didn't seemed thrilled with it so it languished in our closet for months. I love the corset personally so with her permission I tried it on a couple of months back and fit really well. Needless to say when I was wearing my bodysuit I thought: "What the hell, I'll give it a shot" and the results are HILARIOUS. I won't be wearing this combination again any time soon if ever at all.
No way could I simply allow this beautiful corset to just languish unworn in our closet any longer. Thanks to Lindsey Stirling's video for Roundtable Rivalry" I got an idea. My mom made me this pirate shirt many years back and I always felt it looked somewhat unisex. So using MUCH smaller breast forms and an a push-up bra I got from Target I strapped this bitch on and whallah! Instant tits. :) I love this look probably the best of all, I just need a skirt to go with it.
My intentions were always to make a custom Ivy crossplay but until now I had no idea what that should look like. In my mind, Ivy Valentine is very regal, very magical and her look should convey a certain elegance to support that. Don't get me wrong, her dominatrix look is the sexiest in video games but I don't think it fits her character very well. I think using the bottom look to create a more steampunk style look for Ivy is definitely the way to go. As for the bodysuit, I have no idea. I'll probably use it to create an original female character of some kind. Maybe I'll create a new version of Ivy's white bodysuit, who knows?
