...and Miley Cyrus and pretty much every other celebrity out there that has taken jabs at their contemporaries for reasons of publicity, narcissism or just plain spite.
Stop, just STOP.
And don't get me started on the reporters and "journalists" who hold the interviews that add fuel to these all too public fires. It's bullshit that so much time and money is invested plastering these celebrity temper tantrums on every headline, magazine cover and website from here to Timbuktu. If you saw your friends acting this way you'd try and get them to stop. Why is it then that you read every single article you can find about the latest celebrity shit storm?
Yeah YOU. Let's face facts people, this shit wouldn't be a thing if you the American public weren't reading it. There's one rule in the media: "Give them what they want to hear." And while I could write an entirely separate blog about lack of responsibility in journalism the real source of the problem here is YOU. You who are reading these articles, sharing them on social media, sending hashtags and texting everybody you know: "Did you see what happened last night?" and while you try to pass the buck to the media sources who are blindly posting this shit everywhere they can those same media sources are taking those bucks all the way to the bank.
YOU don't give them any incentive to stop. When all they get is a fierce tongue lashing and a $1,000,000 a month, why would they? Sure we can and should expect them to hold themselves to higher standards but again we have to face reality. Media giants are human beings. Human beings with bills to pay, who are greedy and won't do anything unless they have to suffer some real world consequences. Consequences like all of a sudden no one is reading their shitty expose's about who calls who a bitch and whatnot.
So cry and whine all you want about media irresponsibility, until YOU stop clicking they won't stop writing.
