And while I'd really like to enter

I'm not sure if I should or for that if I'll even be able to. The genre is Science fiction, my all time FAVORITE genre of fiction so you'd think it would be a slam dunk. Nothing could be further from the truth.

My art style, for those have never seen it tends to run on the "R" rated spectrum. Not sure why, that just appeals to me the most. Wavelength is something of an anomoly and that's because of the sensitive nature of the main character. I wanted to treat her differently because to me it was more important that she seem as grounded in reality as possible. But for the most part as you can see below I love to push the envelope somewhat:

Now if that wasn't bad enough sci fi is the absolute hardest genre for me to write anything in. Seriously, I have maybe two ideas out of all the ones bouncing around in my head that could be even remotely considered science fiction. So realistically I'm going to have to start from scratch and I've got NOTHING. For once I'm telling my brain to come up with something and all I'm getting is dial tone. (for you youngins out there we used to use phones that plugged into the wall and when you picked up the phone in the speaker you would hear a loud, long, steady tone. We called that a dial tone.) So I'm not really sure what to do. It took me a while to figure out what they wanted in terms of format (its ridiculously vague) so I know that's something I could easily deal with. But what kind of story am I going to make? I have no idea.

I've got 22 days as of this blog to come up with something. It's not crunch time yet but if I'm going to do this I gotta decide now. There's $30,000 up for grabs and a chance to be a featured, PAID webcomic artist. I guess what it really comes down to is what have I got to loose?
